3rd Year Anniversary Discounts!

Monday, March 8th, 2010

As part of our 3rd year anniversary celebration, we at Malcolm Foo Photography (MFP) would like to announce that we have maintained our pricing from 2009 in the year 2010 – as a gesture of our appreciation for your support to us.

On top of that, we will also waive the outstation surcharge for our wedding photography clients who confirm the engagement of our services from now, March 8, 2010 until 12 noon 15th April 2010. (Malaysian time GMT +8).

2009 was a good year for MFP. We decided to join the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) to make it a little bit more challenging for ourselves. To add a feather in our cap, the WPPI has also given us the “Accolade of Excellence” in the “Print Competition: Wedding Couple” category. This is a huge honor for us considering that the event is the equivalent of the OSCARS in the wedding photography industry.

We will be working harder for more this year. *fingers crossed* *gulp*

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Louis Pang for his guidance and trust in engaging me as an assistant (2nd shooter); Jasmine Pang for her advice on the prints; Trinity Methodist Church Penang for the hundreds of portraits (literally); Kar Hooi, my better half which I have gladly proposed to (that she has thankfully accepted); Karina, the logistics expert for my WPPI prints; Daniel Khoo, for the occasional nudge in his critiques that keeps me on my toes – making sure that I always settle for more than “just good enough”; Friends!! You know who you are.

*Terms and conditions apply.

Samantha & Andy in Tawau

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

This by far is probably the only wedding that I’ve shot so many pictures of. Over 500 just for the morning ceremony. I photographed Samantha’s brother last year, featured in my post Jimmy and Tracy in Tawau.

Jimmy called me forher sister’s wedding and next thing I knew, I was booked on a plane to Tawau, transiting in LCCT Kuala Lumpur for 6 hours (which went through like a breeze thanks to the pod touch).

Samantha and Andy, expect to receive the DVDs when you touch down! Hope you two enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed shooting this memorable event.

Sporting “heng tais”, excellent food & a great time is all I can say about this shoot. Enjoy the photos!

This is Dandi, my dedicated driver for the day. He brought me to this excellent Mee Soto for breakfast!!!

I do: Laila & Andy at E&O Penang

Friday, September 11th, 2009

Laila and Andy are both teachers from London. Laila’s cousin, Daniel booked me over a cup of coffee to shoot his cousin’s wedding 6 months ago.

I had a great time laughing (almost silently because I needed to keep the cam steady shooting and paying attention to the speeches) while rounds of funny speeches were delivered by the Khoo clan and Andy’s dad.

Here it is. I’ve not updated the blog for over 2 months while spending time working on the design of the blog and busy with shoots throughout this couple of months. I will blog about those shoots soon enough. My next post will be about food!

A wedding in East Malaysia: Tracy n Jimmy in Tawau

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

This was a nice wedding in a humble town of Tawau, Sabah. I shot this right before I flew to LCCT for Hanoi. Tracy & Jimmy exchanged their vows on Valentine’s Day in this post.

These 2 are so ready for pictures whenever I pointed the camera at them. She picked up the “V” sign from Tracy. That’s for sure. I’ve known Tracy for 5 years now so trust me that she got that from Tracy.
